Suddenly you are there on your way from Moni to Halki, so slow down in advance. From that direction it seems a little hidden to the left. It really is a fine old church, but it seems like the old lady sitting there on guard is a little powerless about the protection of the place. Or directions are dubious. Can you take pictures with a flash on? In fact YES. But you don't know if it is OK. It is nice when they tell you at an attraction that you are welcome to take pictures but without using flash. Other places like here they just don't want you to take pictures, but if you do they don't really care as long as you leave a tip in the collection box. Another thing unclear is the information about the age of the church. They claim that it is the oldest monestary church in the Balcans, but the only proof mentioned is the wall painting from about year 600. But is it also the oldest church in Balcan? How old is the church? Apparently from before year 600. That is a lack of information for such an important vue.
